Some creams come with a thin plastic lid under the cover. Should I keep it or toss it?!

I like to keep em so that I can always get the rest of the product off of the plastic, instead of having it get stuck to the lid. But it doesn't make a difference in terms of drying them out, they're not necessary.

I toss them. I think they are just a protective seal.
