Well the sun is great. Just don't get burnt! The sun is good for you as long as you do not get burnt. Burning is what causes skin cancer. It takes some time but it last for a long time unlike a spray tan or tanning lotion. If you don't want to use the sun a spray tan or tanning lotion is the best to go.
If you find that the sun is too slow for you if you do use the sun, they do have products to put on your skin that would help you get a tan quicker when in the sun. Just remember to still where SPF or else you will burn. If you burn put aloe on your skin.

I'm really pale to and do not tan naturally therefore fake tan is the only way for me!
1. Shave your legs (you don't want hair!)
2a. You need to exfoliate the skin and remove any dead skin cells also this will help make your skin smooth.
2b. Or you can buy an exfoliator brush thing, it's circular with thickish bristles. Apply either an exfoliator or a moisturising wash and rub hard all over your body (it may hurt the first time you do it but you get use to it)
3. MOISTURISE! Moisturise all over your body (or where your applying the fake tan) and allow to fully dry.
4. It's fake tan time! I prefer to use a mitt you get no streaks and goes on much better! Do circular motions all over the body and make sure your completely dry before putting clothes on.

Products:
Exfoliator: LUSH sea salt it's amazing!
Dove have great moisturising body washes.

The fake tan I use is Dove. It's gradual but you can see a difference within the first day (I apply mine at night so in the morning I'm a tad darker)

I have tried many and found this is the only one that works for me.
