I need to dye my hair was going to do it today, but I have product in my hair. Is it bad if I first rinse it with water to take out the product and then dye it?

Permanent dye usually calls for dirty/second day hair, but demi and semi permanant sometimes work well with, and even call for, damp clean hair. Check your packaging if you have it, it often will tell you what condition your hair should be in.

Should I just apply it with the product I have?

Go ahead and do it with product in your hair. I've done it and my hair was just fine.

Probably. I think that the reason you don't want to do permanent on wet hair is because the hair will be porous and will get more damaged.

Its better to dye it when its dirty bc of the natural oils released after a few days of not washn. The oils is what protect your hair from damage. you can add coconut oil to your hair also to protect it also.

The whole idea of dying it with dirty hair is simply to help protect your scalp.
However unless your scalp is seriously that sensitive you should be fine dying it with product in your hair.

I alway end up spraying my roots with GRAY AWAY , because I don't have time to get my roots done. But when I finally do get around to making an appointment I don't want my roots covered with temporary color because she won't know where to touch up. So I wash my hair the night before I go in. My hairdresser really appreciates it.

It's fine dying it with the product still in your hair but if you want to wash it firsr just make sure its dry before you dye unless the dye calls for wet hair.
