I'd say you could if you wore like a white belt or black belt on the waist and/or a black blazer. And black pumps!

I think it would be fine to wear, and like Dawn said you could always add a blazer. And I LOVE that dress by the way :)

A blazer and may be a nude pump will give that sophisticated look :)

I've never considered anything above the knee professional. It is cute, but maybe not appropriate for an office setting.

I agree with emily. I think also that the pattern at the bottom makes it look more like an outfit for a walk on a summers day rather than a professional situation.

It is cute more like for a day or beach out but not for the office!
But thats awesome! It's difficult to find computer science girls that are into makeup and beauty and such. I feel such an outcast at school lol

Ha ha Kath, don't worry! you will find some of us here to have hard core profession, and totally into makeup ;)

I work in a corporate office, personally I think if it's -just- above the knee it's fine, but I'd probably wear black stockings and a neat cardigan or blazer just to make sure it didn't toe the line of looking casual. such a cute dress btw!!

Every job I have ever had and my university all state (d) in the dress code that hemlines should never fall above the knee. I have never seen someone in a business setting wearing a skirt that short, nor a scalloped hem. Even with hose underneath it is still not in keeping with business attire.
Like I said, it is an adorable dress. Save it for a fun day out and about where people will see you, not a day stuck at a desk. :)

I think it depends on where you work. At my place we have this unspoken rule where all the men have to wear shirts and ties, but the women get away with dressing far more casually, that dress would definitely be acceptable with black tights and a cardigan. I suppose my point is, it depends where you work, look at what the other women are wearing x

I think there's probably not too many women around the office if you're a computer science.
