Maybe get pliers or something to squeeze the sides and try to pop it back out? I'm not sure tho I've never had this happen to me.

Yeah, my rt brushes get dents in them as well. If it's not by the ferrule, I don't think it affects application that much. I wouldn't worry about it, although you could do what Alissa said.

I'd just leave it. if you use pliers apply pressure ever so slightly, you could break it worse if you wrench on it hard.
