I'm pale and I do tan, I've always wanted to try to tan in a bed but I know they are really bad for you 😰 but could I go and get a base tan then just stop going and then tan outside instead?!

You should ask assistants in solarium. But I think it is possible :>

Spray tan! It's worth it

Spray tan is so much better. And if you get a good one, you can get same results without the health risks!

I would recommend spray tan over anything. and just not tanning in general. jacqlyn pretty much said it all!

Yes you can go to a bed to get a base then go back to tanning outdoors. It can take quite a few sessions before you achieve a base if you are very pale, I find its much easier to just hang out outside for a few days than to go to a tanning bed everyday for a week, and probably less damaging for your skin to use the real sun instead of a bed.

Honestly I wouldn't do either. To each her own but sanitary conditions in most tanning beds aren't the best no matter how much they disinfect\sanitize those beds. Also all that UV light radiation at once isn't healthy for your body. Spray tans are a better alternative but on certain skin tones they come out orange. You can still get tan when wearing sunscreen of almost any SPF , or you can use tanning gels and lotions that look a little more natural than spray tans (:

Since you're asking my opinion, I'd say no. It promotes wrinkles. :/ I'm a fan of self-tanning, but to each their own.

Like I meant tanning outside naturally if at all is the best way, also wear sunscreen because it doesn't alter how fast you're getting a tan at all (:
