Hey guys..I just started blogging online, and I have been thinking about starting a youtube channel and making tutorials and all that. I have no where to start, and it seems like a lot of work! Does anyone have any tips or advice on how to start??

You seem very talented so I would definitely watch your videos :-) make sure the audio and visual of the camera are ok. also try to be as authentic as possible... for videos you can do anything...maybe a cut crease tutorial. looks good on you. I'm looking forward to your videos.

Teach your viewers on how to apply makeup the proper way. I'd definitely watch your videos

The points Nicole mention are right on. These are things I have noticed over time:

Nothing says "bored teenager playing at YouTube" like a messy room in the background. Keep your filming location as spartan as possible so that the focus is on you. Eliminate distractions (no TV or siblings yelling in the background, no pets wandering in and out of the frame, etc.).

Be organized. If you are doing a makeup tutorial, know the names of the products you are using. Have everything with you while you are filming (don't run off or dig through stuff to find what you need-- lay it out before you start).

Music can be a nice touch, but make it soft and appropriate--no hardcore death metal that drowns you out. ;) Be aware of copyrighted works, as YouTube has no problem yanking videos with copyrighted music.

Other than that, just speak clearly and not too quickly, have confidence, and own it! Have fun dear!
