How should I do my hair to go swimming?

I don't want my hair to look all tangled and gross when I go swimming. How should I fix it?

I always put it in a bun.

I sometimes braid it. Just regular braids so it's pretty going into the water and when you come out let them dry then carefully take them out for a little beach wave.
