I've been considering getting my nose pierced for a while but I'm still on the fence about it. I know I can take it out if I don't like it, but I don't wanna waste my money. So the question is, what are the pros and cons of having a nose piercing?

To me there really were no cons about it, they're easy to change and you can put clear bars in easily if you need to hide them for any reason. The only thing that's happened that I didn't like is one night I was sleeping and it half came out but that was unusual and doesn't usually happen with the studs. :)

As long as it's pierced with a needle and not a gun you shouldn't have any problems.

I've had no cons either! It barely hurt to get pierced, has never gotten infected, and looks awesome! Haha.

One con I have found is that randomly since I got my acrylics I think in the middle of the night I accidentally rip my stud out. It closes up really quickly when that happens.

No cons for me either and yeah like your nose and lip are like the easiest painless piercings lol and a lot of people have it so I don't think you would not like it I think you should really get it done.

I loved mine for two years then took it out and now I have a little hole of a reminder in my nose. Still waiting to see if it'll close.

I've gotten mines pierced with a gun and it was fine I had it for 8 years. And I love it. The only con is when you first get it. The ring is big and awkward other than that as the time goes on and you right an appealing ring you'll love it.

I love my nose stud, but the only con I can think of is the hole it will leave if after a few years you don't like it :p.

Be aware that some employers will not allow any facial piercings (even the "invisible" retainer jewelry). Every job I have had said no piercings, period. This may not be an issue depending on what field you are in, but something to be aware of.

Only con I have is taking it out when I put on foundation only because I always forget to put it back in lol. But if I don't take it out there's a little ring around the stud where there isn't foundation. I use a full coverage foundation.

Okay so everyone is saying no cons but in the winter needless to say you get sick and it gets crusty plus I found the piercer told me to clean with Spectro gel which dried the piercing out (just a heads up on that)

I don't know how often you get sick but I've only ever had issues with my septum piercing when I'm sick and all stuffy so I don't think that's something she shouldn't get it over.

And as for cleaning to be sure you aren't going to be using something that'll dry it out and stunt healing use rock salt diluted in hot water, don't use normal salt or alcohol.

I've only had mine for less than a year, but I found it difficult to change my stud. Still do. I t takes me forever to get it back in, and I bleed a little. Also, as Xiomaruah said, it is quite big at first, and I didn't like it, but you can change it after it is healed.
