So my hair HATES to be curled! I have naturally curled hair but I still like the different look of different curls so It stays curled for about an hour, after I curl it.
Here's how I do it
I use heat protectant,
Then curl a 1-1 1/2 section,
I spray it with hair spray on the barrel,
Then pin it curled to my head,
Then after I do all my hair like that I spray my whole head with hair spray,
Then take all the pins out to let it down,
Then hairspray the finished style (however I do it)
And it falls out every time!! No matter what hair spray I use! I don't know why my hair dossnt like it since it's already curly! How can I make them stay!?

I've used so many hair sprays! But never a cream. I'll try that. Thanks! And I usually do leave it down. But my hairs not even thick or heavy so I know it's not weighing it down.

Hair spray is alright on curls but it weighs them down a lot so they don't stay as often. Try this (it's what I do and I have stick straight hair and the curls will stay all day long no matter what)
Put mousse in semi damp hair
Use heat protectant
Hairspray hair evenly and semi lightly
Curl however you want
Then hairspray curls agin but very lightly this time and bouncing them up as if to make them more perky
Also if this doesn't work put in some sea salt spray in between the mousse and heat protectant ( I prefer "not your mothers be achy waves spray")

Also I go over my hair lightly with a flat iron before everything else just to get frizz and some waves out

Oh I almost forgot! Sorry for all the posts but I do blow dry my hair after I put in the mousse since it's still wet at that point

I use tresseme hairspray level 3, I find if I use any other brand especially in a higher level hold itll just weigh my hair down and it won't last long at all but I've had no problems with that particular brand and level, itll stay curled all day like I would have just got done with it. I've also heard hair usually curls better and holds longer if its a day or two dirty not super clean you know.

Oh I see Jacqlyn ha I pin it cuz by the time I'm done curling the first half is almost straight.
Also it's on the highest setting I leave it on for longer then I should...
And Chanel. My hair is naturally tight ringlet curls and blow drying in my enemy.. It's frizes it to the sky.. And I see a difference. I go from tight curls to a 2 inch barrel bouncy beachy curls but then it falls to staight super quick.
And thanks Kat and Gabriella. I'll try those

Yes I know! I only use heat on my hair like 3 times a month. I'm keeping an eye on it and have healthy hair. Just frustrated with this whole curling thing.
