A few days ago I was about to throw out some really horrible scratchy brushes when I read on here people saying they condition their brushes. I thought I'd give it a go, no harm done if it doesn't work. so I rubbed Rapeseed Oil on my brushes and left them over night on a tray. Honestly, they are so much softer now! It will probably take 2 washes to get all the oils out but its worth it, it even fixed a foundation brush I thought was beyond repair, and managed to lift most of the stains out of it.
Then yesterday my sweet boyfriend gave me a big tub of coconut oil. I ran it through my hair focusing it on the ends and left it on for an hour and a half. Its done a better job than any other hair mask I've ever tried before.
I'm also taking Omega Oils, I'm only on day two so I can't let you know how thats working :)
They are brilliant for everything!
Any other recommendations for oils or their uses? I'm trying to cut as down on ingredients as possible. Going Skin and Hair Paleo haha!

Is coconut oil good for the face? I read it was comedogenic so I was scared to put it on my face. I will look into vitamin e though thank you :)

Coconut oil is not too good for the face especially if you have sensitive skin. It clogs pores which causes breakouts. I personally use coconut oil on my legs after shaving and it has dramatically faded scarring as well. I don't really use it on my face, I have a couple times and I never broke out. Sometimes I use it on my undereye fine lines. If you would like an oil on your face use Jojoba Oil. It won't clog your pores (:

Thanks for the tip Shauna! I'm going to try it on my legs :D
Does it help fine lines for you?
I was thinking about using oils are moisturisers but my skin does break out easily so I was hoping for a recipe on natural oils as maybe a serum or a face mask I could use once a week? I might try Jojoba, vitamin e and c once a week and see if it helps :)

I found it helped a bit with fine lines, but I also haven't religiously been using it in a while lol. I've created my own mixture of natural products that I put around my eyes that I've found helped. When you start off maybe only use it 2-3 times a week. In a small container I mix coconut oil, shea butter, vitamin e oil and olive oil. It's quite greasy but it's fine for overnight (:
