Urban Decay Naked Basics- I think is the perfect companion palette to any eyeshadow palette! I also use it for my brows, to contour with (The shade Naked 2 is perfect taupey brown) and to night with and I sometes use the black as an eyeliner. Saucebox cosmetics also has a palette that would work really well it called the étude palette.

Nicole D...Thank you, I already have UD Basics. I have been using it, but I find I have to mix Foxy & Naked 2. So, I wanted more options in a palette form. I'm not interested in singles.

Christina G. Thank you, I already have the CHOCOLATE BAR. And I love all the colors. But it only seems to have 1 color that is close to a transition color CARAMEL. I don't have any of Naked 1, 2 or 3. I just have the BASICS. I prefer mattes and even though I don't mind some shimmers, All The Nakeds seem to have mostly shimmers. Thats why the Bobbi Brown RICH CHOCOLATE is the one I'm favoring because 5 of the 5 are mattes. It's the darker palette I posted.

*Correction: 4 of 6 are shimmers. Although some are those shimmers are referred to as "washes". So, I'm guessing they are low low pigments that can be "toppers" on other shadows. So I'm still considering it, just not as a "transition" palette.

Maybe Paula's Choice matte eyeshadows, from what I've heard they are good quality, the colors are true, the texture is good, they are all neautral and matte, and I think it would be a great transition color palette.

I have the Balm's Nude Tude and it has one transitional color, sultry, the rest are either shimmery or way to dark. Sultry, sleek, serious, and sexy are the only matte shades. Serious is black, Sleek is a very dark brown, and sexy is just not that pigmented. I really like sultry though. If you have the Lorac Pro Palette, taupe is an exact dupe for it.

I love palettes and would love of the ones you all suggested. But I'm trying to stay focused on a transition shade palette. I'm pretty sure I'll be more than satisfied with the one I ordered but I was wondering if there were any other palettes that has mostly or a lot of transition colors. I have seen those huge palettes that have 28, 60, 88 & even 128 shadow shades, which I'm sure have a lot of transition shades, but those are personally too big for me. I prefer travel-friendly sizes. Smashbox have a lot of great palettes too, but again not enough transition shades but still tempting.

Marleen, I think your first is spot on; but, doesn't IT have a matte palette? Was it Aru or Mylene who liked it? Just a thought. :)

I think think I've seen the IT Palette. But to my recollection, it didn't impress me as having a lot of transition shades. Can't remember, I will have to revisit it & see. Also, FYI...I just saw an interesting nude palette by Estee Lauder today. 4 neutral powder shadows & I think 3 or 4 cream shadows? Another distraction for me.
