I went to MAC to purchase some brushes and I know they're great but it would really break my bank to get a whole new set :( I live In Canada so we don't have Ulta, but we do have Sephora. Any brands of brushes that you recommend? I'm specifically looking for: an angle blush brush, a flat top kabuki, a blending brush, pencil brush, and anything else that's great!

I haven't tried any other brushes beside Mac and sephora, but sephora does sell brush sets that ate reasonably priced! They have all different kinda so just search for the one that's best for you :)

You should be fine with elf from target! I'm not super huge on makeup, but I do have a few brushes I've collected over the past 10-12 years from Mac, things I have used EVERYDAY for that long and the rest are elf and they are just fine! As I have said, I'm not any authority on makeup, but the elf brushes have stayed in an almost pristine condition for a lot longer than I thought they would even last for at all! I haven't had one that I thought was bad either, they all do the job I need them too. I would definitely play around with brands or do a ton of research for a couple of nice brushes you may want to invest in for everyday use but I doubt it is actually necessary since I feel like elf is a pretty good product that exceed's its price tag
