Have you tried sleeping in plaits, curlers or pin curls?

Perhaps try sleeping in a bun or lots of little twists.

Get volume rollers. Its probably curling because you're using smaller rollers meant for creating curls. Massive rollers create volume, with a flick at the end of you hair. Roll it inwards, towards your scalp for volume.

They are usually colour coordinated for the size of the curl, so I normally use a purple or orange set for volume. The purple ones have more of a curl.

I have tons of volume if you can't tell from my pictures lol and the best way is because of how my layers are cut. I barely even have to tease it and then only products I use are hairspray. I have my top layers pretty short and I have them thin them out because I have super thick hair. I get the best volume results by starting fresh every morning (now this works for me but its not for every hair type) and washing my hair (or at least just wetting it) and blow drying it. I also leave my hair up in the towel while I do my makeup for volume and I get more volume instead of letting it air dry. I have tried so many shampoo's and products and the best shampoo and conditioner I have use is Salma Hayek's Volume (CVS) and Got2b Volumizing Powder (be careful with this because it turns waxy so it only takes about a dime size amount for me). For teasing my hair, I watched lots of youtube videos on how to and also just what works best for me. I only use teasing combs (I usually buy mine from Sally's) and I tease the sections, spray with pump hairspray (not aerosol!!) blast with heat from hair dryer (lowest heat setting) and then smooth; repeat until you get done with all the sections (also you don't need to tease crazy fast because you don't want to damage) and then spray whole hair with aerosol hairspray to set it all the way.
The best hairspray's that I use are-
Pump Hairspray- Pantene (definitely my favorite) or Dove
Aerosol- Herbal Essences Volume Spray (again my favorite) or Garnier Humitdy Sprays (green bottles I believe its called bamboo or something, and I usually use the full control or whatever is the strongest hold).
I really like those the best because they don't make hair feel all sticky and gross like a lot of other hairsprays do and I can brush them out easily if I use too much. Also the reason I use the pump spray, is because the aerosol sprays too much and plaster my hair and it makes my tease too wet and ratted looking.

No problem! And like I mentioned, the best thing is to get your layers cut and tell them that you want lots of volume💕 also Pinterest helps too with tutorials. And I also like the L'Oreal Ever--- Shampoos and Conditioners for volume.

Try back combing in horizontal sections and hold the hair in the opposite direction instead of just slightly up and tease all of it from the lower sections till it can stand up on it's own
