the duck face otherwise known as the pout has became especially popular these days amongst teenagers. Im 14 so I'm around the age, and yes I do pout in many photos but it's always for fun! I think it comes from the saying when in doubt peace and pout...

I've been told by many people (older too) that they pout because they hate the way their smile looks.. I don't think this would apply for models such as, but just another thing! :))

Hate the duck face. I couldn't take wasn't photo with it seriously. It's too junior high.

I always try to smile in photos but ive got such chubby cheeks that smiling makes my eyes invisable so i end up somewhat pouting which doesnt look great either ! its a choice for me between no eyes or a duck face

I try to smile, grin or look 'serious' in photos, but the duck face definitely comes out in me.

I think it's worse when girls use this pose on nights out it even worse in pictures they upload onto dating websites! Who wants to date a duck?

I use to do it in all my pictures back in high school. I'm not currently in high school but when I look back at those pictures I laugh because they look ridiculous. I did it because I hated my smile.

It's not only the duck face I find annoying. Any kind of facial posing outside off a photoshoot is annoying! Some girls/women don't seem to realise they would look much better just smiling! And no offence to anyone I just think being natural in photos is much more appealing. And I'm thinking specifically about my sister haha.

I've done the duck face a few years back when I was 14 or 15 , but hey if they like it more power to them . I actually don't mind it , & if I did I wouldn't pay any attention to it since its not me !

I suppose they think they look good like that. Which I suppose is all that matters. Let them get on with it, they'll realise one day! :p another thing is the head tilt and raised eyebrows. Every time I see those raised eyebrows I'm thinking don't you know if you keep wrinkling your forehead up like that you're going to get actual wrinkles!

You all are cracking me up! :) Now I'm questioning my own pics, lol, no duck face or weird pouty lips, I think I'm okay.

I sooo agree with Mandi! I cannot STAND the duck face. I've tried it in a couple pictures, but then I just look at it and wonder "why is this attractive?" ha.

Another crazy pose is the "cute angry" faces. Or the tongue hanging out the side of the mouth.
