What does it mean to tone your hair? I recently got really blonde highlights and I hate them. Now they look kinda yellowish. Should I get darker highlights or tone my hair?

Toning is basically neutralizing the color of your hair. I would need to see pics to tell you any further.

Tone it. Get a purple shampoo and wash it. The purple in the shampoo will cancel the yellow in the hair. Sally's has one a lot of people like.
