I want to try lighting my hair with lemon, but I know it is damaging.
Can I mix the juice with an oil or conditioner?

I think you have to use it alone to get the full effect, maybe you could mix it with honey, but really it will probably still damage the hell out of your hair!

Here's what I did:
Lemon juice, conditioner, coconut oil, and a little vodka.
Then I went and let my hair dry outside in the sun. (I was out there for about an hour)

I'm getting ready to do the same thing, my hair has gotten much darker over the past few years but I'd rather my hair be a lighter color, mixing oil will be best :)

I just make my own measurements but It was a bowl of about 50% lemon juice 25% Conditioner, 15% Coconut Oil, and 10% vodka, I hope that helped.

You could try honey and conditioner. I learned this from Adriana'sChoice on YT and it takes a while but it's much healthier and it will gradually lighten your hair (: (works best on blonde hair tho..)

It slightly lightens every single time you use it. Sorry I don't have pics, but next time I do it, I will take a picture (: but every time it slightly lightens my hair; I did it for about 4-7 days and my hair was a lot lighter than it was (: it all depends on your hair type and color but it worked for me! (:
