I've heard that most French women keep their makeup pretty minimal. I would suggest just using a BB cream, eyeliner, mascara, do your brows, and apply a light lip gloss.

All these looks will have you looking American. They are all beautiful but French women focus more on skincare than makeup. Mascara and lipstick and clean brows...that will have you looking like one of the natives.

I'm european, I live near France, and the only thing I can say is.. "Less is more"! Go With neutrals, just a little bit of Colors, and for clothes, go With basics and classic pieces, and you won't look "too american"! :P Btw have a nice trip :)

Oh and I almost forgot, when you'll be in France, you have to go to Kiko! They sell amazing, cheap and ultra pigmented make up! :D.

Well de have pretty much the same brands but if you're looking for very good products for skin, I can recommend you Vichy and Caudalie :) they're a little bit more expensive but it's the best products you can find :) they also have make up, vichy's idealia bb cream is awesome, caudalie's l'eau de beauté is a great equivalent for the Fix+ by mac, also, Bioderma's sensibio h2o is the best make up remover EVER! You'll find all of these products in pharmacy :)

Also, for make up, you should Check the "rouge édition Velvet lip stain" by bourjois, it stays like forever on the lips, it's super matte and the Colors are just.. Wow :D.

Definitely agree with light makeup and lipstick. when I went everyone was dressed beautifully. basic and simple clothes that look put together. just be comfertable and take the weather into consideration: it gets HOT.

I went to France with my cake face and felt like nobody guessed I was American? Lol, until they heard me speak!

Well they are NOT casual AT ALL haha I recently was in Paris and everyone dresses so fashionably fabulous 24/7 it's ridiculous! Every woman is in heels and when I was there in the winter everyone had those black sheer leggings with like a leather mini skirt over it and a peacoat n scarves like every Parisian owns a million scarves :P so if you want to know what they wear just watch the latest fashion week spread n wear what the models wear :P and don't ever wear sweats in public or you will be shunned! The first day I wore yoga pants n everyone was staring at me like I had a disease! Haha fashion faux pas are a SIN in Paris! Haha.

And that is so true Europeans are very minimal with their makeup so go for a more natural fresh look.
