Hi everyone! so I want to get a new foundation and the two that I see being recommended constantly are revlon colorstay and loreal truematch. I think I'm definitely going to try one of these but I don't know which one to get. has anyone tried both? If so which one did you like better and why??

I haven't tried colorstay because I heard it can break people out but I use loreal true match and I love it so much!

Ok I have gone through 2 bottles of color stay and I love it, when I first started using loreal true match I hated it, now I love it, sooo... Revlon color stay is full coverage heavy and you can tell your wearing makeup and it stays on for forever , loreal true match is medium to full coverage, looks very natural and kind of had a matte finish to me, but in my opinion I would try cover girl 3 in1, that foundation is better then both loreal and color stay.

I don't love either sadly but I'd say loreal true match lumi only if you have dry skin.
if youre very oily.. covergirl 3-n-1.

I have both and I like both. Relvon colourstay is heavier and is pretty hard to blend when its dries but I love the coverage and the finish. Loreal True Match is easier to work with, but not as good coverage although it is buildable.. I find Loreal True Match can oxidise but Revlon Colourstay doesn't. True match is much more versatile than Colourstay. It builds up to a medium/ full coverage or it can be sheered down to look like skin. The both can last a long time but Revlon will last a lot longer and wear better. Neither has broken me out.

I use loreal true match and I'm really happy with it... as my skin is very oily sometimes I get acne kind of thing I'm sorry don't know what it is it goes off if I pop it.. but I'm sure it's not pimple..

I've been wearing covergirl 3-n-1 queen with a pump of loreal lumi..
the finish is wonderful. I'm combo right now so its perfect and last all day. reminds me of the finish from colorstay but colorstay doesn't make my skin feel great. and I've already tanned so its too light as its my winter shade..
everything is different for everyone but skin type is most important.. along with what your needs are. :)
I'm addicted to maybelline fitME. :)

I like the coverage of the true match and the finish but I've only worn it once, and the reason I haven't tried it again is because it oxidized so bad I look like I had a mask on my face. The part I don't get is that it only happened on my face, I always blend foundation all the way down my neck because it's not the same tone as my face and chest. 😳 I have used colorstay in the past and really liked it, maybe I'll get a new bottle and see how I feel about it now.

I have combination skin and it tends to look a little oily a few hours after foundation. but I still prefer it to be more dewy than matte. I get the occasional pimple but not very often.

Well the first time I tried loreal true match it didn't work for me but maybe it was just the tiny gold sheen it had built in I hope it still isn't the same formula but if everyone recommended it and you don't have sensitive skin and too oily go for it revlon colorstay is good but if used with a beauty blender as it's a full coverage foundation and could look unatural kick I personally love covergirl as it has more golden tones for warm complexions and Revlon colorstay does lack shade ranges there either peachy pink or olive which it has barely inofe yellow.

I guess I'm looking for something in between what I'm using now which is a bb cream and full matte foundation. I like the bb cream but it definitely doesn't take long for it to start looking oily. but anything too matte especially powders just look terrible with the texture of my skin!

I'll have a look at the clinique one too :) thanks.

I think you should look into the 3 in1.

I used to use Clinique. I loved superbalanced just haven't bought it in awhile.. I agree with jacqlyns recommendations..
however, it is very heavy.. n it took me a couple tries to figure out an application method that worked for me

Yeah I'm going to look at the 3 in 1 as well. sounds like the colorstay might be a bit too heavy and matte for me.
