I've been struggling with pimles for years and 9 months ago I started to use proactiv (usa version) my pimples disappeared, and I stopped using the usa version and tried the europe version, my skin started to get really bad and I got minimum 2 cysts everyday on my forehead. I started to use the usa version again and it didnt help at all, it just got worse and worse, I got scared of getting real acne all over my face so I started to look for a new skincare kit, I tried biotherm - it just broke me out even more. So I decided to start taking birth controll pills for acne (they're called Yasmin). My cysts are gone now after 3 months, I still have pimples and dark spots around my mouth but they're starting to clean up. And I'm using a toner with antibiotics, it really helps me.
I know how it feels, some mornings I just want to cry when I see my face. But you just have to carry on and hope that it gets better.

Good luck!! I still recommend purpose soap as it's so gentle on the skin. With my treatment and with most, it gets worse before it gets better. It's flushing everything out of your skin! Mine got worse around month 2 and by the end of month 4 I started seeing change. I remember thinking "GOD, when is this going to get better?" And it does! It takes time but it does. Just hang in there and treat your skin like a new born baby's. Listen to your doctor and moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! That means everything! Even your eyes and your inside of your nose! I carried dr. Dans everywhere! My lips would crack and bleed and it was the only thing that helped. I'm so excited for you Jacqlyn you're starting around the same time I did! If I'm not mistaken you'll be finished around November/December? Be careful this summer and always apply sunscreen! 100% SPF hahaha. And keep your scalp moisturized as well! I know when I was on it my scalp would bleed and break at the slightest itch. It's a hell of 6 months but girl it is so worth it you are beautiful now and you will absolutely love your new skin :)

I know how frustrating it is feeling like you've no control over health problems, when it feels like nothings helping and that the doctors can't figure out what to do to make it better. I hope with all my heart this works out for you and that when its over you don't have to experience it again. I don't know you personally but you seem like a strong girl so if anyone can get to the other side of this it'll be you :) <3

Can you wear foundation while on accutane? I really hope from the bottom of my heart that this works for you. I've never suffered from bad acne. I just have a couple spots here n there. But goodness, I can only IMAGINE what your going thru. Good luck sweetie! Your always so helpful to everyone on here and I think you deserve the best results.

My boyfriend was on actuate and for the first few months it was worse then before he even started going on it. But it's been a year now and his skin is so clear and looks amazing! Hang in there it's worth it in the end :)
