I apply mine with a beauty blender and it covers all my freckles and the occasional pimple too.

Do you damp it or keep it dry? I was using the wedges from cvs & it are up all the makeup on it.

Wedge sponges soak up most of the foundation. that is why the double wear is sheered down a bit.

Damp sponge/ beauty blender will do the trick. If they are really persistent on showing maybe try concealer. X.

Hi Kacey, I am a huge fan of the Estee lauder double wear foundation and definitely would recommend it to all skin types. I apply the foundation with my sigma f80 brush, it's a flat top brush that gives a beautiful enough coverage.
I am in the shade Tawny also.
hope this helps love (:

I have heard that they did change the formula, so that may be another factor.
A flat paddle foundation brush gives maximum coverage, though.

I'll have to make a trip to the makeup store & pick up some new brushes! I usually do pat it over my freckles then blend it with a brush but it still doesn't do the job right. Before I was using macs studio fix fluid didn't do anything I would actually put makeup forever powder foundation over top not a good idea that makes me face super oily!
