Hey ladies!
I tried doing sugaring in my own at home for the first time last saturday, but it didn't really work. The sugar gel thing I used was selfmade (8 tablespoons sugar, 1 with water, 1 with lemon) and I couldn't manage to get the right temperature and consistence. I couldn't even get it out of the box I put it into because it was so hard. Do you know what I did wrong? And what kind of sugaring brand would you suggest where I can buy the paste if the problem is the selfmade one? Thanks :)

Do you have enough ingredient?!
I usually do:
2 cups sugar
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/8 cup water

Did you let the sugar boil to 260 degrees then put it in the fridge so it goes to room temperature?!

I use brown sugar, organic coconut oil and pure vanilla.

It's kind of like waxing but with a sugar paste. This is a traditional way to get rid of body hair :) Just google 'sugaring' or 'halawa'

And @vallerie: I wanted to try it out with less ingredients because it was the first time and I didn't want to waste so much sugar if I don't likr it afterwards :) Will it work better if I take more ingredients? And I didn't pay attention to the temperature...maybe that's my problem :)

@Rozberry: How much of each ingredient do you use? :)

If its too hard you need to use a bit of water with it.

Julia, I use it as a body scrub. I misunderstood your desired effect.
