Yes I said thin. Haha. I'm growing out a pixie haircut, but I am really nervous that when it's long, I'll have to chop it off because it's so thick and heavy it gives me headaches. :( Anything I can have in mind to thin it out when I get there?

EVERYTIME I get my hair cut I ask them to thin it and they always do. Every hairdresser does it a little bit different. From experience, I recommend asking them not to thin near your roots. It does the opposite, instead of making it slightly thinner, they sort of like, poof out and make your hair look thicker. It may also be different for you, as it takes me two hours to blow dry and straighten my hair. (Because of thickness, amount, and length)

I am a hair dresser I would say to ask for thinning shears (exactly not near the root) OR something I love doing! ask ur hair dresser to flat iron ur hair ask them to do the (money cut) using regular shear scissors (with no comb) just fingers and to thin out and blend ur hair ,it would look and feel amazing after!

I would not use thinning sheers, I did it once and it made my hair unbearably frizzy. If you do ask your stylist to use thinning sheers, ask them to only do the ends. Your hair will be less frizzy and your hair won't look or feel as thick

What kind of hair do you hair? I have very coarse hair and I thinned out the top, and the bottom I kept thick to weigh it down so it doesn't poof! I have coarse hair at shoulder length
