Having such a passion for makeup at such a young age can get so stressful. I'm only 15! I can't afford the brushes and palettes I'd like. Having a family always putting down my dreams for the cosmetic industry never helps either. None of the people I'm surrounded by understands that putting makeup on my face is the only thing that keeps me happy anymore! Ugh, I feel so silly ranting about this. But that's why I love beautylish. Because you ladies understand. Sorry for the unneeded rant!

Agree with you all the way! I know they say the price of cosmetics show their quality, but why so frigging expensive! I'd have to take on 3 jobs to fund my makeup buying!

I totally get you girl. You want to be able to get the right tools but if you got a part time job it would dominate your life and you wouldn't have time to do what you love. What I did was talk around at local salons and see if anyone was okay with shadowing/interning... Maybe get a job there answering phones/washing hair... That way you could learn more and be around the stuff you like an make money too.

I agree. I am not allowed to use eyeliner or very bold lipsticks. I understand and feel you, girl :)!

Saaaame. I'm fifteen too and have to really save up to get my make up and beauty products. Also finding a job is a bit hard cause I have my GCSEs going on so my parents don't think its a great idea.

I can totally understand how it feels.. What you should do is to keep practicing with whatever products you have. Believe me.one day you'll be good enough to get compliments on your makeup. You are quite young. Just keep your spirits high :) Good luck.

You could get a job baby sitting, or a lot of restaurants 15 yr olds could be dishwashers. (:

When I was that young I wore makeup and my family always told me I don't need makeup and stuff like that then when I got better at it and was really interested in it as a career my mom was like really supportive and loves seeing my makeup and now my family always comes to me for makeup tips and like even to do their makeup! So if your family is unsupportive now they may come around sooner or later realizing this is your dream that's what happend to me and now my mom does research for me about makeup schools to pursue my dream even more because she knows this is my dream too and she wants me to fulfill my dream :) I hope your family comes around and I can't afford any makeup at all right now but if I get like birthday money or settlements I will but some of the high end makeup I want. Just keep your head up they will come around
