I use it on my hair. When it's still wet, I rub some between my palms and massage it into the scalp and to define my curls, like a leave-in conditioner, but with just one ingredient!

Oh and I use it like this because my hair is extremely curly and dry. The other option, for straighter hair types, is to use it like a mask, meant to be washed out.

I'm a huge cocoa nut oil freak, I use it before I condition, after I shampoo, as a hot oil treatment and to seal my lotion in my hair

You can also melt a small amount in your hands and rub it into your dry ends.

Its good for hair growth..and its believed to be antibacterial and antifungal...it helps in deep conditioning hair..since I have oily skin I don't keep it overnight..I mix coconut oil, almond oil and olive oil together and apply it on dry hair..keep it for 3-4 hours or someday when in hurry I keep it only for half an hour and then shampoo my hair..you can also apply conditioner if you want after shampoo.

Hi Marybeth, I don't use olive oil on my hair, so I will not be able to tell that. I wash my hair weekly (I have kinda dry hair and when I am not travelling I work from home, hence longer wash cycle ;)), so I give my hair & scalpa good massage, keep it overnight. Next day I will wash it off like normal (your choice of shampoo and conditioner). It definitely helps in fighting dryness!!

On dry hair or for at least 30 minutes coat hair from the ears down with coconut oil. Saturated it but not to the point of it dripping. Bun it or braid it and wait. Shampoo and cond as normal.
