So I have some Mac containers for Back to Mac. This is the first time I've ever done this. It is my understanding you can get a lipstick or eyeshadow, correct? Any good suggestions???

I don't really like lipglossed, oooo maybe I will look at a burgundy color

If you wanna do a burgundy I think you should get Rebel. I got it just a month or so ago and I'm in love with it. But I think Yumi's suggestion of going in and letting them know a general color you like is a great idea. You might find a new favorite :)

PS the lipstick I have on in my profile picture is Rebel, to give you an idea of how it looks.

Thanks Courtney. Rebel looks amazing!!
Thanks Mercedes- my mall has both a Mac store and one inside Macys. But I'll go to the Mac store just in case!

Is it six empty containers?

You will need 6 empty containers & they can't be depotted

Last I heard, you can depot your products. That was back in February that I got my information though. How recently did you find out that the containers can't be depotted, Mary?

@Yesenia: If you B2M through online, your only choice is a lipstick. It's also important to note you can swap only for a permanent l/s; you can't request a limited edition one, a Pro Longwear one, or one of the Viva Glam ones. Not sure what the rules are for counters or freestanding stores. They may be more varied.
I did a B2M earlier this year, via online. When I got around to my lipstick choices (you get three choices in case one isn't available when they send it to you), I decided to try for colours I wouldn't generally go for. (I ended up getting Up the Amp, which was my first choice.) If you're going to a counter or store, definitely ask for suggestions in a colour family you're interested in. :)
@Mary: I did a B2M earlier this year with depots and had no issues getting my lippie of choice. I think your information may be wrong.

Thanks Shelly! I will def be stopping by a Mac store soon =D

What does depotted mean?
Nov 13, 2012
Yesenia P.
Melisa- it means to take the pan out of the conainer. So if you have an eyeshadow, a MSF, blush, you would remove it from the black container it comes in, but still in that metal pan. So then you would take 6 containers back to Mac

Thanks!! This is the first time I've ever had enough to take back. I obviously do not buy a lot of Mac =D

Courtney & Shelly - This is what the Mac in SoCal said to me. If thats wrong info then... oh well, it is. I'll try another Mac location, maybe the employee was just not knowledgable, as usual.

The Mac at my Macy's said one of their lipsticks only, and no special lines. I'm not sure if that's accurate though.
