I've heard no. But to me makeup has no rules!! You can do whatever you feel comfortable doing =D

I always think of the girls from high school who would wear bright turquoise eyeshadow all the way up to their brows that perfectly matched their turquoise shirts, and then do the same thing the next day with yellow... Still makes me shudder, lol. I personally don't like the look when it's done to that extreme, but I think that more subtly it's much better. I don't do it myself because I prefer to do contrasting colors, or what Ashley does and take accent colors and incorporate them into my look so that I look more put together. But if you wanna rock pink and green from head to toe, do it! If you feel comfortable and like you look good, that's what matters.

I think its a matter of skill really. It can be playful or subtle depending on the look you wish to achieve. Sometimes I match, sometimes I coordinate. Sometimes just natural. Its all about the look youre going for

It should compliment but not necessarily match.

I agree with Ashley S.
The salon I work at has an "all black with a pop of color"dress code. Usually the "pop of color" I wear will be coordinated somewhere in my makeup; however small. Like today, hot pink leggings with hot pink lipgloss. Or, blue shirt, blue eyeliner.
