Black would be ALOT less damaging so ask your boyfriend does he want blond hair or dry brittle breaking off right and left hair lol (I know I'm being dramatic, but it should convince him that black is the way to go)

Lol my boyfriend always wanted me to dye my hair blonde. its your hair do what you want, I personally think blonde or strawberry blonde would look beautiful on you. if you want to go dark I would go dark brown but not true black. its so hard to lighten your hair after you go black and its damaging on your hair
