Is the theory real? (By showering in cool-warm water you will have better hair and skin) Just wondering! (:

Yes. Warm/hot water strips your skin/hair of nutrients and minerals and makes your skin/hair dry. But nobody likes a cold shower so if you take extra hot showers limit your time. And use moisturizing soap.

Well, cool water seals the cuticles of your hair (so whatever product you put in will be sealed in), and it tightens your pores. That's the extent of what they will do.

Yes it is a lot better. But what I have heard and found with my own hair is that is you shower in hot water and massage your scalp it helps your hair grow faster.

Kinda. Really started a shower with warm water and washing yourself with warm water. The after that rinsing yourself off with cool war. Really that is better.
The warm water opens the pores so you can clean them out and then the cool water closes them back up. That's what is good for your skin.
I'm not sure with hair.

I learned from Kitty that it doesn't matter if you use cold water to "close your pores." Because they go back to whatever size they were like 20 mins later lol.

It can help, but hey, it's not the end of the world if you hate cool showers.

I always seem to rely on cold water when washing my hair, I've just done it since I can remember.

Hot water can damage and break your hair if it is used too much or is too hot. Cold water is good for sealing the hair with moisture.
