Hello dahhhlings I really want to start up my own youtube channel for Beauty/Makeup but I have a little issue... I don't know where to begin like what type of camera to use, hoe to do the lighting oh and a huge on I'm shy lol any tips for this new gal?

Also I agree. I feel the same way. I wanna do makeup videos but I don't like my face without makeup on so I'm looking for girls in my area to do makeup on. Finding them is difficult and my friends don't wanna be on YouTube 😫

Lmaoo I'm the same I even purchase tripod for my camera. I'm super shy. I wanted to start looooong time ago, but shyness is winning the battle. Grrr.

Lillianette why not record first and then add in the voice later. Hopefully you'll soon over come your shyness and feel more at ease with the camera. Remember it's not live so you can edit it as much as you like.

First things first is your camera. If you can afford it, get something that's 200 and above. With lighting start off with doing videos in the daytime. If you don't have time during the day, start off with a lighting soft box kit with one light. Editing, windows media (free) or sony vegas ($50) imovie ( mac only). Your first video you want to get you noticed. I say go with an inspirational makeup video, a celebrity makeup. If you're shy to talk, just film yourself doing the makeup. Add music and edit it down to about 5-6 minutes. I hope this helps and good luck!
