You might want to try and give it a few washes and then see if youre happy. Last time I got mine colored I was furious when I saw it dry.. However the lady explained that they go a little darker than the picture so that when it fades from washing you will have your desired look. Just a thought :)

Wow that woman clearly didn't look at the picture, it's clear they have done it wrong you should not have to deal with that, tell the manager the situation they should refund you or offer you free treatments or hopefully a colour correction, sorry it went so bad it's happened to me before

The lady is like there color person too. She goes and talks about color n travels for it. I called n they had me for an appt with someone else today but lady that colored it called me back last night and didn't get how I thought it looked darker than the pic. She honestly sounded irritated the whole convo. She wants me back next week for an appt. I said yes but I've been thinking...I don't want to wait a week and I don't want to c her again. But I don't want to call back again. I feel like I'm being annoying or rude.

@Katie that's not annoying or rude. Sometimes you have to take into consideration that you are PAYING HER. That doesn't mean you have to be rude but it doesn't mean you have to KEEP paying her to continue to mess up your hair.

You can't see the blonde highlights in the pic. My naturals a strawberry blond but after coloring it my roots come in blonde so I asked for a light color so my roots aren't so bad when they grow in. She said I couldn't go blonde yet and vetoed many of my pics and we agreed on the pic above bc I already had red in my hair.

I asked if they could do some highlights to lighten it. I hope they don't make me pay. I mean I already tipped her n paid so I hate to make another stylist do it for free but I don't feel comfortable doing to same lady.

I'd definitely ask for a refund to go elsewhere. or explain to them how unsatisfied you are with how it turned out because that is NOT what you paid for & the lady's attitude toward you. they better not charge you!

I would NOT let the same lady do it again even if they make someone else do it for free. If the results come out right with the new lady then give her a generous tip. Odds are that old hair lady that messed up might take it out on you for getting her into trouble for her nasty attitude and you do NOT want her to mess up your hair.

Katie, can you post a picture of what your color was before you got it done? your hair is way to dark now to even be compared to the picture you wanted. you need to go back asap. Color will not lift color, so in order to lighten your hair she will need to do either a color cleanse which is pretty much bleach mixed with shampoo or use an actual color remover. either of those could be a little damaging tto the hair. Its best to do this when the hair is freshly colored. if she sseemed irritated then I would request someone else. just explain to the receptionist that you don't feel comfortable going back to this girl again and you want someone new, with a fresh opinion. sometimes as stylist we let our egos get in the wway of good business. this girl may have some personal problems going on in her life that's getting in the wway of her work. either way...good luck. oh, and you absolutely should not have to pay anything at all when you go back. this was their mess up. my salon has a policy that if your back with in a week then you don't have to pay for a correction. but anything beyond that we charge for. so get iin there asap!

Oh hell no! You should call and ask to speak to the manager explain what's happened and that she sounded irritated when you complained and that you would prefer an earlier appointment with someone else to correct the mistake. You paid them for a service which they did not fulfill!
