I have a boyish/athletic figure, so I have a few fashion sense problems as well haha. I think that wearing bootcut jeans can help flatter muscled legs. I also like to wear shorter skirts and shorts to show off my legs, which are pretty strong and toned.

I think it depends on what sports you do though. What do you play?

I'm athletic-ish. I'm like fat/curvy/athletic rolled into one. Lol if you have a picture that would help so I can see what you mean

You could wear tights or leggings with your shorts/skirt. If you don't have any bootcut jeans maybe try boyfriend jeans, which go a teeny bit wider at the bottom. With jeans you could wear a cute cardigan with a tank top underneath.

And since your slim, oversized clothing would look amazing on you. Try a long shirt paired with legging and boots. And try and find a vintage denim jacket.

Honestly, I say where whatever you want. I know a lot of my clothes are not that flattering, but they make me feel good, and at the end of the day I'm dressing for myself, not to impress anyone else.
That being said, if you want to create the illusion of curves, here are some things you can wear:
Basically, anything that cinches at the waist. An A-line skirt and tucked-in tank top, high waisted pants and a crop top, a wrap dress, a maxi dress with a belt at your waist. When your waist is accentuated, it balances out your figure. You can also look for tops with lace, mesh, or frill detailing, especially along your bustline. This will also add fullness and pull the attention away from your shoulders.
