Ok guys so I want to try or attempt a smokey eye! I don't do makeup but I sometimes like to challenge myself to do things out of my comfort zone! If anyone could tell me how, send me a link, or show me a pictorial or something that would really help! Thanks guys :)!

Kiyomi I have to ask first do you know what exactly is a smokey eye? This helps me so I'm able to help you achieve the style.

A smokey eye is called like that because the blended eye shadow makes the illusion of a smoke! :)

Search for "Smokey eye with liquid eye liner" thats te easiest for me!

I know what a smokey eye is I usually explain it to others here on beautylish. I wanted to make sure Kiyomi understood what it was so she doesn't confuse it with the gradient style like most do.A smokey eye is dark fade into light. The Smokey eye style doesn't have liquid liner. :)

I call it the easiest mistake style when it comes to smokey eye,it's any dark color faded upward lighter and blended so their is no harsh lines.I'll give you the most easiest tip that could help you get the look faster if your not good with eye shadow.Do you have a cream liner? If so I use Inglot 77 cream liner but any CREAM liner works.Make a line as you would on upper lash line then you get a flat shadow brush and spread that cream liner line you made over your whole lid now you grab a blending eye shadow brush and bring up the cream in a wind shelled wiper motion to the crease and fade it a bit over the crease,as you do this it's lightly going to fade any harsh lines then get a light color like MAC Cork shadow (transition color) and overlap a bit.also line bottom lash line with the dark cream and blend out. Here is a picture of my smokey eye. Hope this made sense if not I do apologize.

It made perfect sense! Thank you so much Alma!! I hope I can do it :)! I've never really done anything like this before or at all really lol.! But I'm going to try :)! Are their any beginner eye shadow looks that I could also try?! Thanks!!

I always say start the basics just one color on the lid NOT pass the crease study your eye shape when applying and explore different colors then when you feel your ready add a transition color on the crease then when your able to get the lid and crease technique move up pass the crease next.Just start slowly so you don't get frustrated, take the steps to knowing your eye shape and colors of your choosing because that will help you in the end how to achieve the more define shadow styles.
