You could go with the shock factor every once in a while! If you're going somewhere you don't know a lot of people, but on brighter clothes than usual and do a daring makeup look like really extreme liner or an intense lip color. You'll get used to being looked at and stop feeling so self conscious (hopefully)

Well what makes you feel self conscious? What might help you is knowing that no one is perfect and that everyone has bad days. Doing things out of your comfort zone will help you be less self conscious and be more comfortable with yourself knowing that you can do things you didn't believe you could. Push yourself and start being and seeing everything more positive rather than negative. Accept yourself for who you are because you are your own beautiful and unique individual.

Hopefully this will help: bit.ly/18tXfNi
I had social anxiety, which basically meant whenever I was around people other than my family and close friends, I was SO self-conscious. All I could worry about was what people were thinking of me, and it held me back in so many ways. I missed out on a lot of friendships and opportunities because of it. The truth is...people are so worried about their own insecurities that they don't have any time to notice yours! Next time you go out and feel like everyone is staring at you and noticing all of the 'bad' things about you, shake it off and pretend to be confident away. Sooner or later you will actually start feeling more confident. Fake it till you make it :)
And remember...everyone feels like this from time to time, but it won't last forever! Don't be discouraged if you don't change overnight; it's not about how fast you go. The important thing is that no matter what challenges and setbacks you face, you keep going and keep trying.

I agree with Lynzie - life begins at the end of your comfort zone :) I only overcame my anxiety once I actively pushed myself each and every day to do the things that scared me.

I read on a magazine you should walk around your house naked (of course when no one is home)

Just know that God made you the way He wanted you so there is nothing to be ashamed about. He made you just the right way to complete His best plan for your life.

Just realize that it isn't your job to please other people. If you have an issue with someone bring it up, if someone is making fun of you tell them off. Be assertive even though being an assertive women sometimes will get you called a b*tch but honestly the less you care the better. Analyze your reasons for doing things if it isn't to please yourself or to have fun why do it?
