It could be the glasses but you're cute either way. I would say you look mature... not "old". you just don't look like a teeny-bopper... which I think is good.

Don't sweat it girl! You are beautiful and perfect just the way you are. The most important thing is that YOU are happy with yourself...if you start changing yourself to please other people, you'll be miserable because you won't like the person you've become. Do things that will make yourself happy and proud, that your future self will thank you for - things like joining the choir even though other people think it's dorky, wearing bright blue eyeliner even though people think it's weird, or whatever else is relevant to your life.
Listen up: You are not defined by what other people think of you. You do not need their validation to be happy. Earning their acceptance is not worth compromising yourself for.
Do what you need to do to be happy - find better friends, join a new club or activity, or look your bully straight in the eye and say, "Your words can't hurt me. Nothing you can say or do can touch me, because I happen to like who I am, and I don't need some bully's acceptance to make me feel worthy. But damn, I feel sorry for you, because you must have a lot of pain in your heart if trying to hurt me is such an essential part of your day. I'll be praying for you." Give your hair a nice lil flip and walk away.
Kandee Johnson always says, "Hurt and angry people speak hurt and angry words. Kind and loving people speak kind and loving words." And that is the simple truth of it. Nothing other people say is about you. It's a reflection of who they are, of the problems and pain they have in their own lives. Of course, that doesn't justify their actions, but it just shows that they're too immature to deal with their emotions in another, healthier way. They are not worth losing time or sleep over. You will harvest what you plant; they are planting evil and negativity, and that's what they'll get in return. You can choose to spread good things - compliments, smiles, asking questions about people's lives with genuine interest - and that's what you'll get in return. http://bit.ly/1eWfs60

I don't really see what's wrong with looking older but, I get it bothers you. It could be your glasses, yeah :) maybe try some different ones if you can't wear contacts.

Sorry that my comment turned into a whole rant about dealing with bullying lol :) If you want contacts that's fine, but you look beautiful either way and shouldn't change yourself just to try and please other people. On a more practical/helpful note...long nails and contacts can be problematic, at least when you're first starting out.

That's the reason I don't have long nails :) it is definitely harder to put contacts in with long nails. I don't really think you look old more mature like nikelle said it that makes sense.

I think changing your frames would make a difference. Try on different frames with different colors until you find what you like. I think the lippie looks fab on you as well so I would keep a lippie collection if you don't have one already; -)

Anyway, you can still get contacts even if you have long nails!
There are two ways to remove contacts "the pinch" and the "roll." The roll is placing the pad of your finger on your eyeball and moving it downwards until the contacts comes out. It's painless.
If you do go to see about getting contacts, usually they will have you practice putting them in and out and show you the two different ways. It's really hard at first but you get better.
I never liked the rolling method and I always used pinching, even when I wore long acrylic nails. You can still pinch them out without using your nails!
I tried to include a little example of rolling out contacts. When I say move your fingerward down, I mean like towards your nose and mouth. Hope this helps a little! I'm really bad at giving instructions. And btw, you don't look "old" at all. You have a mature and sophisticated look :-)

Maybe a little concealer under the eyes should help some? & a little eyeliner. but either way, you should do you. make sure the change you're looking for is for yourself & not to to satisfy others.

I wanted contacts for a while because my glasses end up bent.
