The way to tell the best eye shadow for you eyes is to find the color opposite your eye color on the color wheel. For example my eyes are blue so an orange or brown eye shadow would bring out the blue in my eyes.

It's always heard purple compliments brown, not blue.

Bryanna - me too and I love purple eyeshadow on my brown eyes. I haven't experimented too much with blue. Maybe I should!!

If you have more yellow gold undertones purple would complement your eyes better. This isn't law it's just a guide line that helps me match eye shadow.

This is called color theory, it's applicable to most things :) for example, I can wear warm purple/pink lipstick and my eyes turn green.
