Make sure to exfoliate before and apply a thick moisturizer. Add primer next. The foundation should glide on much smoother. Also be sure to use a foundation suited for dry skin. Good luck 💥

Sprits some water after setting with powder or right rub some lotion in your hands then pat on the dry patches after setting with powder.

After washing and cleansing make sure you put a layer of spf cream on e.g ambre solair. and then put on loads of moisturiser let it set into your skin about 10-5 mins before you apply anything else. use a moisturiser like Aveno for really dry skin. when you apply foundation dab and tap it into your skin do not rub! if you find that you can see a dry patch under your foundation get a cue cotton tip put moisturiser on it and apply it to the dry part so it mixes in with the foundation on your skin.. don't put too much powder in after.. also try a face mask a few hours before you do all this. face mask made from dry oats mix with a little milk and a bit of honey mix untill thick and leave on for 10-15 mins.. Works for me hope this helps xx

Exfoliating and moisturizing beforehand. Spraying your face with a dewy setting spray before and after makeup. Use a silicon based smoothing primer. Using a wet beauty blender to apply foundation instead of a brush.

These are the products I'm using on my dry), flaky, irritated skin. The cleanser is a non-lathering balmy texture. The exfoliating cloths are the scrubiest cloth I've ever found. The facial oil & cream are 100% natural & the Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Foundation has a unique moist balm/butter like texture that will lay your flakes down even if you can't ged rid of them in one cleansing. The foundation has a strong herbally smell, but it dissipates once you have it on your skin. I press it in, no brush or sponge. You don't want to flake up your skin any more than it is, and the water in a sponge won't mesh well with this foundation. I only powder my nose, chin & the area above my nose. The rest I leave alone. Then mist with UD Chill Hydrating setting spray. If you must powder the rest of your face, dip a damp sponge into a luminous powder (I like Hourglass Ambient powder in Luminous Light and ever-so lightly dab your skin only enough to gently set your foundation, but not to mattify it. I like a luminous powder because it will set your foundation but will leave a subtle sheen on your skin to counteract an overly-dry powdery look. If your skin is as dry as mine, any residual shininess will be sucked up later in the day.

My skin is so dry & irritated moisterizers & primers werent working and would sting my skin. I just used the Maracuja Oil (dark blue bottle) as my moisterizer under foundation. And at night, I applied the Egyptian Magic Cream (thick salve texture, that won't break out most skins due to its 6 all- natural ingredients) over the oil.

The Urban Decay setting spray I'm using is the CHILL HYDRATING version not the DESLICK or ALL NIGHTER.
