Beauty Balm or Blemish Balm. It is meant to help out your skin and give the benefits of a full makeup routine without all the weight. It takes the place of moisturizer, sunblock, primer, and foundation, This is just a generic lay-down of what it's about. I hope it helped. BB cream is now popular in Asia. I think better than foundation if you're going for a natural look/ no make up make-up. :)

BB Creams started over in Germany, Asia, and Japan. They were created to help skin after cosmetic surgery. It was meant to cover up the scars and such, while still helping the skin. These are generally categorized as Asain BB Creams.
Then the American beauty brands began makeing them. American BB Creams are pretty much tinted moisurizers. They claim to have the same type qualities of Asain BB Creams. They usually have very little coverage, while Asain BB Creams mostly have full to very full coverage. Hope I helped!:)

Monique, it all depends on your skin type and your own preference. My favorite, as of now, is Maybelline's BB Cream. I know a lot of other drugstore brands have started making them too, like L'oreal and Garnier. I also find a lot of samples for them in magazines. You can try and find some to see which product suits you better. I think they all got good reviews. The one I use, by Maybelline, I love it so much. It is so light weight with such good coverage, but not to the point where my skin looks fake.
