Yes :) soak cotton balls in acetone or polish remover, place them over your nails, wrap them in tin foil and leave them for 20 minutes or so.

I read about it, but I,m not sure that the polish remover would be enough strong:/

Yes do what Hannah said, then use a blow dryer to heat it up. the heat and acetone is what they use at salon.

Use acetone with a cotton ball put it on your nail with foil wrapped around your finger. wait a good 5 mins or so then you should be able to get them off.
I have shellac nails too but on my real nails and it stays on for a few weeks until I go back to get it redone again. The people you're going to is doing something wrong if it's already chipping or if your nail isn't healthy enough it will definitely chip. your nail has to be really healthy in order to have the shellac.

Thank you ladies! Valeria, that's a nice tip. Phylicia, I have no idea what,s the problem... my nails are ok I think, well they are a bit dry ( always been) but strong enough to never break. And about the master - she has filed my tips once again after putting shellac which I disliked because I always cover my tips with polish, can this be the reason?:-)

Exactly what Hannah said. I would rough the surface w a buffing tool as well

It could be because when you have shellac nails you have to use the shellac nail polish. you can't use just a normal nail polish which is possibly why it's chipping. do you dislike the shellac or what exactly don't you like? tell her if you're not liking something love. don't pay for something you're not satisfied with. I'm sure she will fix it to your liking so you'll be satisfied.

I wouldn't recommend doing it at home I wouldn't even recommend shellac... Go back to the nail salon and ask them to remove professionally...

What Hannah said, that's how they do it in the salons I've been to, and use one of those things to push your cuticles back to scrape it off( forget what it's called lol!) when the shellac is soft enough! Good luck!

What we do at our spa is you want to file the nail to break the seal on the top and the edge. Then soak hands in acetone for 5 minutes. Use a cuticle stick to take it up by going from the cuticles to the end of the nail. Apply some cuticle oil after.
