I know gel nails make your nails really thin after and they usually hurt but they are really cool. What do you think??

I had gel nails and I'm qualified in doing them and acrylics and shellac and for a special occasion like a wedding prom but if it's going to he a regular every month thing no you will destroy your nails.

If you do make sure you get your beautifying to take them off for you don't bite them it cut them off yourself you do more damagr8 to your nails that way by taking layers of keratin with the gel and leaves your nails weak and easily breakable

Hi dear :) I use gel nails on my natural nails about 5-6 years...and I personally do not reply the particular problems...perhaps also depends on the fact that my beautician uses always the same gel... so if you want to do also cover Gel make sure that they are quality products or you may ask who is in the field information on semi-permanent polish... It has the same result, it is less invasive if the gel nails..

Gels only ruin your nails if you peel them or don't remove properly. Or use acetone to remove.

You can remove them at home with pure acetone. Just put some on a control ball ( make sure not to spill any on your table it will ruin it) then put it around your gel nail and then wrap it up with tin foil. Wait 15 and they should become soft again and able to push off. If not repeat it again and they will come off with less harm then ripping them ( which is awful DONT DO IT) also this it was they do at the salon to take them off. You just some your nails in a bowl.
