So I hate the beauty blender. I don't understand why everyone loves it. I can't seem to get it to work for me.

Really. Did you use it damp? After using the beauty blender I have found it impossible to use anything else. If you don't like it return it.

Amanda you should try the real techniques beauty blender dupe, and it only like 5 or 6 bucks and use it damp! Works wonders!

I use it damp but I feel like it doesn't do anything ughh I tried it with under eye concealer and my mufe hd foundation. and I have dry skin so I figured it would be great for me. I guess I'm just going to keep messing with it

Maybe it's the way you're applying it? Are you stippling or smudging?

Lody I stipple it

I don't have the actual beauty blender but I still cannot understand why people are willing to pay $20 for a SPONGE. I could see if it was made of some really good material but its just normal sponge material. I tried a dupe that was horrible though. It was so stiff and even when dampened it still just sucked up all my foundation. But for Christmas I got the Real Techniques one and its amazing. I get it thoroughly saturated and then wring it out, so it's probably a little more wet than damp, but its not dripping or anything like that. I don't really use it so much to actually apply anything. I still apply my foundation with a brush (the expert face brush from real techniques) and then after I have that and concealer on I use the sponge more so as a way of blending everything and taking down any stickiness before I powder. I feel like this method has made my foundation look soo much better than it ever has before. I also will take the sponge over it all after powdering too and it helps make it look naturally and not powdery or cakey.

I also feel like the real techniques one is a lot softer. I've never felt the actual beauty blender but I think its a little more firm than the real techniques one. I know the other dupe I had was hard as a rock even after I wet it. So if that is anywhere near how firm the actual beauty blender is then damn lol. When I used the other dupe I literally felt like I was smacking myself in the face with a small rock lol. It was unusually firm, maybe it's just me. The good thing about the RT one is that its about $6 :)

The beauty blender is my best friend. Lol you just need to find a way to use it correctly. Go to your local sephora (if you have one) and get one of the girls to show you how to use it.
