There are some sachets that you can mix with the color to nutralize the red tones you can buy them in sally :)

Jessica, is the color lighter then.your natural color? it could be a number of factors. brown hair has ref undertones, and when your lightening your natural color, those red undertones come out and cause the roots to be reddish looking. if your bringing the color thru the ends then its probably color build up, making it darker.

When you are redying your hair, put the dye just on your roots for 20 minutes and then only 10 for the tips. :] I hope that's what you meant Jessica. :)

No my hair is lighter a dirty blond color...this is 2 shades darker then my natural color.
