Go for something big and princess like, prom is a one in a lifetime thing so you wanna remember it and look back on the photos. Go for a big gold or white or silver or pink dress but a long one, I find longer dresses classier for a masquerade, and then get a over the eye mask to help so you can still speak and see and everything or draw a mask on your face with makeup add a matching clutch and heels with a nice hair up do, something like a neat tight bun.

If I were you, I wouldn't wear a huge dress which makes you look like a Disney princess or on My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding (google it!)
