Super knotted hair! Help?

My hair is always super knotted I always brush it and wash it. Any tips? Or brand recommendations?

A leave in condition can really help.
When your brushing use a wide tooth comb
When brushing start from the bottoms of your hair and work your way up.
It's what I do after swimming. My hair is so bad at time after swimming. I use conditioner when I am in the shower. Which helps, but I still do these things.

Detangler/leave in conditioner. not your mother's makes a good one and you can get it at cvs.
