So my birthday was yesterday and my older brother lives away. He's coming home for a visit next weekend and want to buy my gift but he wants me to pick it out so obviously I want makeup. What should I ask for?? Nothing too expensive and nothing that would have to be matched to my skin tone. Can be from Mac or Sephora because there are both those stores where he lives and none where I live. Thank you xo.

Is there anything you've had your eye on? If anything you can just text him it and he can show the workers lol that's what my boyfriend does for me

Naked 3, lorac pro, smashbox full exposure, a brush set, or maybe a fragrance.

A gift card wouldn't work if she doesn't have a Mac or sephora where she lives. I'd say maybe those gift sets from sephora, there's quite a few for all different price ranges so I'd definitely check out the website.

My dad is actually really good at picking out makeup, but I guess it depends on the guy. Just narrow it down to one thing for him like eyeshadow or blush and I'm sure he'll be able to find something.

You should get one of those sephora paletes with eyeshadow, lipsticks and blushes. Or anything sephora brand since it's a tad cheaper then the other brands.

Just be specific with the names of the product. Like naked 3 palette. So he won't have any confusion and can just go n buy it..

Depends, what do you prefer? lipstick, eyeshadow, etc?
if you want lipstick get mac
if you want eyeshadow get a naked palette from sephora
a nars sephora blush is always good

Whatever it is that you want make sure your specific about what exactly you would like. Or just ask for a gift card, much easier :)

Find what ya want online and send him a pic of exactly what you want lol don't want him to "forget" and just grab the first thing he thinks you said just to get outta the make up store lol...I've learned this the hard way with the hubby.

A giftcard is always a good idea but if you want something specific I would send him a picture as well as the full name so he can just show the associate the pic and they'll grab it for him and it's done lol. My boyfriend will sometimes go into Ulta and pick me up stuff and I'll be on the phone trying to explain it to him and it can get confusing lol.

You can get virtually anything, just make sure you are perfectly specific. But even being specific can still lead to confusion. Type exactly what you want, and tell him the show the associate your text message. I find that works best when sending men to do anything. I remember my asking a guy I used to date to pick me up a mocha frap from Starbs, and he came back with a latte. Uhhh, no.
