So basically my skin is super clear every other week, but the week after I always have breakouts! So every other week I get breakouts and it's just super annoying cause usually that week is when I hangout with some of my friends. And it's really embarrassing sometimes! Sadly this week is the week that I'm getting it.! Anyone go through this strange acne cycle? And anyone know what to do about it?! It's not super bad mostly a little on my
t-zone area. It's just really annoying!
Please help me if you can it's not really that bad it just makes me feel uncomfortable.
Thanks guys!!

It probably has something to do with your cycle, hormones are more than likely causing your skin to be more oily during those weeks. I'd recommend using an astringent on those areas concentrating on where the breakouts normally are happening.

I gets this all the time so you are not alone beautiful!
All I do is just keep my face makeup free as soon as its not needed, clean it with Cetaphil, use acne cream and exfoliate 2 a week.
Its mostly hormones but luckily we have makeup xx Don't ever think you are not beautiful because you have acne, most people are fighting it themselves <3

I feel you! I'd bet good money it's your hormonal cycle. Especially if the breakouts you get are under the skin. Even if they're not it's totally normal. Just maintain your current skincare routine and put a good spot treatment on those blemishes. Please don't pick at them! I love the Eradikate by Kate Somerville! Within 2 treatments (apply before bed) all my spots were gone. Hope everything clears up!

Thanks guys! I actually use Sea Breeze it's like an astringment and I also spot treat my pimples with Benzoil Peroxide. I don't pick or even touch my face most of the time. It's just that I love my face when it's flawless and then all of a sudden I start getting pimples everywhere lol! I know that everyone obviously wants clear skin.

I feel you, I have acne that doesn't want to go away! I've tried everything and there is literally no use. I hate wearing foundation but sometimes I have to, to cover up my hideous acne's!

I'm sorry Mariam. You should go to your Dermatologist! I went to my regular Pediatritian and she told me to buy the Benzoil Peroxide. I use it as a mask when I'm in the shower and then put it on the pimples before I go to sleep. Make sure not to put it on your clear skin because it will dry out your skin terribly.! Trust me I learned that the hard way lol!

It's fine, apparently I been to the dermatologist and what they have gave me made me break out more, I do use benzoyl peroxide after I get done using my clarisonic I see a little difference, my acne takes a really long time to get rid of

I know the feeling. Once I get acne it takes a whole to go away.! That's why I hate it when I do get it lol!

Lol that's the stress but I heard it goes away as we grow older. Fingers crossed on that one.

I am ance prone.and always have some sort of breakout.and am never truly clear, but it sucks because when I feel like I'm only a few spots away from being clear I breakout like no ones business.

That sounds like hormonal acne. Are you on birth control at all? I used to have the same issue but once I found the right hormonal birth control it stopped.

Kiyomi K.
No Emily! I'm not on birth control at all. I'm only 13.

Ya fingers crossed Mariam.

Talk to your doctor, it might benefit you. It can help regulate your cycles and ease cramps too, if you have any issues with that. If the idea of taking "birth control" freaks you out (or your parents), think of it as "hormone therapy" instead; after all, that's what it is!
My dad panicked when I started taking it at age 11, but when we told him it was "hormone therapy" he calmed down. ;)

Thanks Emily :)! I thought that that was only for adults, but I might try that if my parents and doctor let me :)!
