You should try adding a different dye. Some dyes don't work to great, or the time it was left on wasn't enough. And if you don't like the final result, you can always dye it later darker or whatever you wanted.

Love both but I'm kinda scared to go that light from my natural right now which is dark brown. I kinda want to keep the base and maybe brighten in with highlights? What do you guys think?

What ever you do, since your hair is still virgin I'd strongly recommend getting a salon job first time round. if your doing it first time do it the safest and best way :-)
