I was browsing on e-bay the other day and I came across a lot of eye-shadow palettes... have you ever bought eye-shadow palettes from e-bay? I'm interested in buying Blush Professional's make-up palette (it has a lot of nice colours), has anyone ever tried it? Thank you :)) x

(FYI: Many of them are the same palettes sold by Coastal Scents, BH Cosmetics, Crown Brush, among other online retailers. Retailers just mark the prices up. It is actually cheaper to buy them through eBay. Often you'll get free shipping too.)

I know a lot of people on here have beef with these palettes. Here's my thoughts. They are fabulous starter palettes. They are cheap, middle of the road quality. They aren't going to work like UD, MAC, Makeup Forever. But they'll get the job done. I also suggest then for people who are shy with makeup. If you've only really played with a few looks and want to expand, try these out. They give you the colors with semi decent payoff to try new looks. They're not really all that bad.

I agree with Katrina, lots of people are iffy about those pallets. I really like the 120 color pallets. Also BH cosmetic has 28 color smokey eye and 28 color neutral pallets. I love them!! They aren't the greatest but for the price they are good!!

Make sure to check the sellers feedback score. I usually only buy if seller has 98-99% feedback. I also read the feedback and if all is good on makeup, then go for it ;)

I've never bought off eBay, only Amazon and I had a good experience with the Shany palettes. I agree with what others said be sure to read reviews. hope that helps :-)

On a daily basis I wear neutral colors. When I go out I like to experiment with color. So they last all night for me. I don't know if that helps? I definitely use a primer with colors!!

If you're looking for affordable and super pigmented, E.L.F. has some AMAZING pallets right now. I just purchased a couple from target and will be going back to get the others that are available. Also, purchase their primer. The shadow is good without primer but it helps it stay. These colors are amazing! I hope this helps!

I came across another palette which I like the look of. It's called iDivine and it's by Sleek. It has 12 eye-shadows in each palette (they have 13 different palettes)... I really don't know what to buy...

i like sleek, but some of the matte/neon colours are a bit chalky, be sure to use a primer and you'll be fine.

As far as bhcosmetics go, I really do not see why everyone hates on them. I have the 2nd and 3rd 120 edition palettes and I really really love them. The pigmentation is very strong. However, you do need a good eye primer for them or it fades. I also have 15 different makeup brushes from their site and I love them other than the shedding. However as far as a good smudge brush, (cheap) I LOVE elf's classic smudge brush.
