I have no idea why they don't like it, I think it's gorgeous! :) in my opinion a dress doesn't have to be super detailed to be pretty.

Its simple but I think its really pretty and elegant. When you have shoes, jewelry, and hair it will make it not so plain. I like the color too, I think it looks good, so who cares what the think if you like it, thats all that matters. I would do silver shoes and jewelry (I would do a necklace and earrings) and this is what I would do for makeup

I feel your friends are wrong about that. My dress is more simpler than that.lol
I really like it. It's gorgeous, elegant and I feel it suits you from what I can see. Definitely suits your skin tone.
