This might sound gross, but how can I help heal infected ears? When I took my earrings out my ear was bleeding. And it's painful to the touch. Please help!!

I suffered with this a few weeks ago. Take a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and completely clean your entire earring and back of earring. Let it dry. While it dries, take a q-tip with alcohol and carefully clean your earring hole (the front and back). Then take some Neosporin (healing ointment) and apply to both sides of earring hole. Then carefully (I know it hurts) put the earring back in. Whatever you do, do not leave your earrings out. Since your hole is infected, your skin will try to correct it and you'll lose your piercing if you don't keep the earring in.
Hope I helped

Don't put the earrings back in and clean it with alcohol or poraxide. try to keep it clean and don't constantly touch it.

Keep it in, try to find metal earring that isn't affected by water (non rusting) the reason is befor you put them back in you want to boil them for a few minutes to Jill all bacteria, other then that do what @kaitlin said.

Keep it extremely clean and if it persists go see someone about it just cuz it might get infected and you need to deal with it.

DO NOT use rubbing alchohal if you want to keep the piercing it'll only scab up and take forever to heal. Instead use luke warm water and sea salt (not table salt) soak it twice a night.

If you put the earring back in, make sure you clean it well w/ alcohol. But if your looking for comfort over pain, I'd leave it out.

You can also use peroxide instead of alcohol.

I just reread what I wrote and it made no sense. Anyways rubbing alcohol and peroxide both shouldn't be used on piercing they'll only make it scab up and never heal. Sea salt and luke warm water are your best bet. Soak it twice a day.

I agree with Janet. That's also what they say to use on other newly pierced areas( belly button, nipples, hips etc).

I don't know I have 11 piercings all in my ears but one. I've always used alcohol when newly pierced and to clean it out if it ever got infected

Peroxide and rubbing alcohol keeps the wound wet and soft resulting in slower healing with a wider window for infection. Salt water dries the wound speeding up healing while salt is a natural pain kill, anti bacterial, and anti inflammatory.

Yeah or dip your ear in hot water for a few minutes, do it three times a day for a few days and you will be fine.

Actually using alcohol and peroxide will dry it out, If you were to use normal salt you use on your food it will also dry it out because it has iodine in it. Rock salt is what you need :)

I would suggest seeing a doctor.
